Circa: 1953 Condition: used Size: cup 2.5 inches high by 3.75 in diameter saucer 5.5 in diameter Color: white, gold, blue Country of Origin: United Kingdom Manufacturer: Royal Albert
This is a lovely bone china tea cup and saucer commemorating the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II of England in 1953. The maker is Royal Albert China, England and the quality is superb. The pretty pedestalcup is 2.5 inches high by 3.75 in diameter and the saucer 5.5 in diameter, with gold trim on both pieces. The design features a lovely sepia portrait of the Queen in a frame of color animals from her coat of arms and her cipher with gold trim and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or wear. There is a slight rock to he saucer on a hard surface, but not on a tablecloth, due to a manufacturing flaw in the base of the saucer. Not a real issue, especially if used for display or on a tablecloth, but I like to let you know everything I see.
