Circa: 1928 Condition: used Size: 5.5 inches high by 9.5 inches long Country of Origin: United Kingdom Manufacturer: Staffirdshire England, vintage
This is a lovely antique hand painted art deco porcelain teapot made in England in the 1928-1930s with a charming river scene with birds, insects and cattails. The teapot has no maker's mark but is a very well done design of a black transfer that has hand painted enamel work over the transfer with hand painted gold trim. The teapot measures 5.5 inches high by 9.5 inches long and is in excellent condition with no chip or cracks and no gold wear. There is some kiln dust on the handle with happens during the firing process and is not considered a flaw. The river habitat is a lovely design subject...so peaceful!
