This is an antique English treen or wooden bobbin or spool made in the 1920s. The bobbin measures 7 inches high by 2.75 in diameter and has a ribbed surface and some red paint residue. The bobbin or spool is in very good +++ with great patina and character and is a great decorative item. They are used as well as candle holders with character!
