The pomander measures 3 inches in diameter by 3 inches high and has it's original gold hanging cord, rubber stopper and even some pot pourri inside. The pretty ceramic pomander has birds and fruit baskets and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or wear. Pomanders were developed in the 1500s to scent clothing, bedding and closets and to scent a room to disguise the medieval smells of no drains. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured.
